The must have item for all dog owners! Whether you're teaching recall or have a dog that needs some extra freedom on the leash, our 5m long lines are the answer! Handmade in the USA from ultra-durable Beta BioThane®.

BioThane dog leads are 100% waterproof and perfect for any outdoor adventure; be it a hike through the bush, where your BioThane long leash will glide through the thickest brambles, or a safe beach swim where the fully waterproof leash won't soak up water and sand.

After your adventure, simply wipe or hose down your leash. BioThane® is an incredibly durable and easy to maintain polyester webbing with a PVC coating. Long story short, it's solid, it's waterproof and best of all, comes in all the fun colours! All our BioThane leashes are secured with industrial-strength black machine stitching, and stamped with our custom Wildhunde branding. No matter which bold colour you choose, you'll always be able to spot your leash from afar.

Important Product Information

Suggested Dog Size based on SWL of hardware and Material:

Standard Use: Dogs up to 55kg
Extreme Use: Dogs up to 40kg

5/8" Beta Biothane rope has a break strength of over 280kg.

The snap used has a break point of over 330kg

The suggested working load for the hardware used is up to 55kg for dogs that will put normal pressure on their leash, and up to 40kg for dogs that will lunge heavily into the snap. This is not the breaking load at which point the hardware will break, but the suggested working load at which point the snap can become damaged.

If your dog is outside the recommended weight range, please regularly check your snap for any signs of damage.

All metal can and will rust or corrode when used in water, especially salt water! We highly recommend washing off your leash on a regular basis with clean fresh water and drying it off. The length is inclusive of the Biothane in the handle and the snap.

Dog freedom while maintaining control

I previously bought a 10m long line for my Shar-Pei to use on sniffari walks. Brilliant product. We recently adopted a second dog so one of our first purchases was this 5m long line. It feels great in the hand and is easy to retrieve. It doesn't collect water, dirt or sticks like a nylon line would. It's very hard wearing and doesn't get damaged even if allowed to drag on the ground. It's great to give the dogs the illusion of freedom while maintaining control. Walks are enjoyable for everyone now. Shipping was surprisingly fast over the festive season. Great quality product, and I highly recommend it.
